Dr. Shultz is the owner of Healthridge Medical. He grew up in Doylestown, Ohio where his first job was working on his grandfather's farm. He decided to become a doctor with lifelong learning and continuous problem solving as his driving forces. He graduated from medical school at Ohio University where he then went on to attaining his license and starting an internship at YOH. Healthridge Medical was opened in 1996. Dr. Shultz has been in practice for 30 years. Available for appointments Monday-Wednesday, and Friday.
Fun Fact: Not only is Dr. Shultz a doctor, but he has a law degree from University of Akron and is a member of the Ohio Bar.
Douglas D. Lewis, DO
Dr. Lewis started his career path at the age of 10yo as a newspaper delivery boy around his neighborhood. As he got older he decided he didn't want to be in the news business. So, this veteran, who was in the US Air Force for 7 years, went to the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine to achieve his DO degree. After completing residency in Ohio, he learned the cost of living was much cheaper here so he stayed and started working at a facility that shares a common origin with our Nurse Practitioner Mr. Noggle at One Health. From age 1 day to 100+ years, this man can handle them all. Available for appointments Monday-Friday.
Fun Fact: Dr. Lewis was first a medic in the Air Force, before going back to school to get his PA certification. 10 years later he returned to school to earn his DO degree.
Richard "Rich" Bailey, PA-C
This sous-chef that originated at Abruzzi’s Chef 422 in Warren, Ohio, decided that he wanted to become a physician assistant after watching PA's in the US Army. This Army Veteran served 8 years, including tours in Bosnia and Nicaragua. He competed his undergraduate degree at Methodist University in North Carolina where he received his PA certification with a Bachelor’s degree. He later went back to complete his Masters at the University of Nebraska. He started his physician assistant career in a family practice office in Red Springs, NC. He moved to Ohio to help care for his family and found Healthridge after replying to an ad for employment. Of special note, Rich is a clinical preceptor for Mount Union University, so any PA students looking for a rotation this man is your go to guy! Available for appointments Monday-Friday.
Fun Fact: Rich has had more airplane take offs than he has had landings.
Jeremiah "Jerry" Noggle, CNP
This former dishwasher at 15yo decided he wanted to get away from his first job when he realized his ambition was to help people. This lead him to The Ohio State University where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While there, he was inducted into, and remains a member of the Sigma Theta Tau: Honor Society of Nursing. Following 7 years as a nurse, Jerry furthered his education at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, earning his Master's Degree. He was previously working on One Health, same practice to our Dr. Lewis, prior to joining the Healthridge team! Available for appointments Monday-Friday.
Fun Fact: Jerry caught the walleye designated "Fish Ohio Walleye" in 2015.
Alberta Kemper, PPCNP
Taking care of children has always been a passion for this young woman. Starting as a babysitter, Mrs. Kemper had further goals to give children the best treatment possible. She completed her undergraduate degree in nursing at Pensacola Christian College. After training as a nurse for 4 years, she decided that she wanted more education so she would be able to complete mission trips. She attended Kent State University for 2 years to earn her PPCNP-BC; specialist in Pediatrics. She came to Healthridge after a friend recommended it to her. She is available to make appointments with on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Fun Fact: Alberta has completed over 9 medical mission trips in 9 different countries.
Shelby Knopick, PA-C
The most recent addition to the team joined the practice in February 2016. Shelby is a graduate of Duquesne University where she completed a 5-year program while also competing as a member of the Duquesne Women’s Collegiate Volleyball Team. The choice was made to apply for PA school after being treated by a physician assistant herself, following a sports injury. If you need your annual pap smear performed, this provider is your go to girl, available for appointments Monday through Friday.
Fun Fact: While born in Thousand Oaks, CA, Shelby has always been a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
